Front-End Architect AEM / React
Capgemini America, Inc.We are seeking a highly experienced and hands-on Front-End Architect to lead the design and development of scalable, high-performance front-end solutions for Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) platforms. This role requires deep expertise in React, modern JavaScript frameworks, and strong knowledge of AEM architecture and authoring models.
Key Responsibilities
Architecture & Solution Design
- Define and lead front-end architecture for AEM-based digital platforms
- Design scalable, reusable component libraries aligned with AEM content and authoring models
- Collaborate with UX, backend, and AEM architects to deliver cohesive solutions
Hands-On Development
- Build and maintain front-end components using React, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3, and JSON
- Integrate front-end code with AEM components, templates, and content models
- Use Storybook to develop, document, and test UI components in isolation
- Manage JavaScript and NPM dependencies to ensure stability, security, and compatibility
AEM Integration & Optimization
- Ensure seamless integration with AEM Sites and Templates
- Optimize performance, accessibility (WCAG), and responsiveness across devices
- Guide teams on best practices for AEM authoring and publishing workflows
Leadership & Mentorship
- Provide technical leadership to front-end development teams
- Conduct code reviews and enforce coding standards
- Drive continuous improvement in front-end tooling and practices
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of front-end development experience
- Strong hands-on expertise with:
- React
- JavaScript (ES6+)
- HTML, CSS, JSON
- Solid experience integrating front-end solutions with AEM
- Experience using Storybook for UI component development
- Strong understanding of responsive design, accessibility, and performance optimization
- Experience with GitHub and CI/CD pipelines
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Angular
- Familiarity with Adobe Experience Cloud tools (Adobe Analytics, Adobe Target)
