Role and Responsibilities

The Front End Operations Lead plays a critical role in front-end operations by supervising sales associates, maintaining impulse displays, ensuring excellent customer service, and supporting efficient daily store operations. Key responsibilities include:

Customer Service: Oversee cashier teams across multiple registers, authorize voids and overrides, assist customers at checkout, and ensure accurate and efficient transactions.
Cash Handling: Monitor cash levels, conduct drawer pulls, prepare bank deposits, and reconcile tills in compliance with company security and accountability procedures.
Training and Development: Support the onboarding and training of new cashiers on cash handling, scanning, and customer service techniques to maintain high service standards.
Store Operations: Adhere to company procedures, maintain front-end cleanliness, monitor security cameras for unusual activity, and ensure timely and accurate completion of paperwork.
Leadership: Act as the primary contact in the absence of the Front-End Lead, delegate tasks, enhance team productivity, and motivate employees through positive leadership practices.

Required Skills and Experience

High school diploma or equivalent
6 months to 1 year of retail experience; prior leadership experience preferred
Knowledge of cash handling, cashier accountability, and deposit procedures
Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages
Proficiency with cash registers and adherence to safety and facility policies
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to read and follow planograms and merchandising instructions
Willingness to obtain local or state food handling certification if required

Ability to lift up to 25 lbs
Comfortable working in a fast-paced retail environment
Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
Compliance with all company policies and procedures
