Principal Front-End Engineer

Job Summary

This is a remote role for a Principal Front-End Engineer at First Citizens Bank. The successful candidate will provide expert technical guidance on large, complex, and strategic projects with significant impact. They will facilitate the creation and implementation of software systems and software development, consult and provide subject matter expertise on software evaluations, feasibility studies, and new technologies.

About the Role

The Principal Front-End Engineer will be responsible for maintaining a strong knowledge of technology trends and their impact on the bank's infrastructure. They will train and mentor others on new technologies, provide technical advice and direction to associates, management, and developmental project teams, and utilize their expertise to consult and develop software to solve complex technical problems.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need a Bachelor's Degree and 10 years of experience in Software application development and maintenance or High School Diploma or GED and 14 years of experience in Software application development and maintenance. Preferred qualifications include 10+ years of progressive development experience as a Software Engineer, hands-on development experience in Node, React, and LoopBack, technical lead experience for medium to large sized projects, and experience building and maintaining large software platforms.
