Kforce has a client that is seeking a highly skilled Senior Front-End Engineer to join a growing engineering team based in Austin, TX.
Summary
This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about building intuitive, user-friendly interfaces and has extensive experience with modern front-end frameworks. You will work closely with product, design, and backend engineering teams to help modernize and rebuild key applications.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain scalable, responsive, high-quality user interfaces using React and Next.js
- Integrate APIs and manage data workflows (experience with React Query is a plus)
- Collaborate with designers and product managers to deliver seamless user experiences
- Ensure performance, accessibility, code quality, and responsiveness across devices
- Debug, troubleshoot, and optimize front-end performance
- Contribute to full-stack tasks when needed, while keeping front-end priorities central
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of professional front-end development experience, preferably at a senior level
- Strong proficiency in React and Next.js
- Experience with React Query or similar modern state/data libraries (preferred)
- Familiarity with UI/UX principles; design thinking experience is a plus
- Experience integrating with backend systems (.NET Core or similar) is beneficial
- Experience with cloud platforms (Azure or similar) is a plus
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional environment
- Visa sponsorship is not available for this position
- While this position is focused on front-end development, limited full-stack experience is a plus
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with React Native is a plus
- Experience modernizing, refactoring, or rebuilding existing applications
- Ability to work with distributed or offshore teams
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
