Position Overview

As the Lead Front End Developer, you will be responsible for owning the frontend architecture, guiding implementation standards, and mentoring a team of frontend engineers. You will work closely with backend, product, and design teams to deliver performant, maintainable, and intuitive user experiences.

This is a hands-on leadership role. You will write code, review code, guide design decisions, and help grow the team technically and professionally.

Position Responsibilities

Lead and mentor a team of frontend engineers, providing technical guidance, reviews, and coaching
Own frontend architecture decisions and ensure scalability, performance, and maintainabilit
Design and build complex user interfaces using Angular and React
Work with Node.js, TypeScript, and modern frontend frameworks and tooling
Build and integrate frontend applications with APIs and event-driven backend services
Develop applications using Next.js and NestJS where applicable
Establish best practices for component architecture, state management, performance, and security
Review pull requests, enforce coding standards, and improve code quality
Collaborate with product and UX teams to translate requirements into clean technical solutions
Stay hands-on with development while balancing leadership responsibilities
Identify technical debt and drive refactoring and improvements

Qualifications

Required Experience & Skills
7+ years of professional frontend development experience
Must have strong and recent hands-on experience with Angular and React
Advanced knowledge of TypeScript and modern JavaScript
Experience with Node.js, NestJS, and frontend/backend integration patterns
Experience building applications with Next.js
Strong understanding of frontend architecture, performance optimization, and scalability
Experience leading teams, mentoring developers, and conducting code reviews
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and modern development workflows
Strong communication and collaboration skills

Nice to Have

Experience working on fintech, trading, or real-time data platforms
Familiarity with microservices-based backend architectures
Experience with frontend testing frameworks and strategies
Exposure to cloud environments (AWS or equivalent)

Compensation

Starting at 143K
End-of-Year Discretionary Performance Bonus: up to 20% of annual salary, based on individual and company performance
